We have not been able to confirm the surface, distance or shape of Dunnell Nature Park and Education Center (Dunnell Park) yet from its own listing, the park's website or runner reviews — so those cells stay blank rather than guess. What is below comes straight from the listing and from reviewers' own words. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Park offering a playground, creek & grasslands, plus conservation-themed learning programs.
What runners say about Dunnell Nature Park and Education Center (Dunnell Park)
“3/31/25 Monday very beautiful park n has so many peacocks inside the park nearing neighborhood.”
“It's rather small but the atmosphere is incredibly peaceful.”
We like to make it a point to stop by anytime we're in the area. Our family plays a game where we try to find the first Peacock, and see how many we can find before we leave. It's got a small play area that has a few things to climb on, but no play structure.
Visited this place first time in 3 years, though we hear a lot about peacocks in this park and surrounding communities. We found around 6 - 8 in different groups ,on the trees, trail and near parking areas. We could able to feed couple of them with "Almonds and Brazil nuts"( they didn't eat initially).
Staying with family for the week and just wanted a chill afternoon with the kids. This place was perfect. Playground is small and just a couple things for younger kids to climb on (although my tween also had fun briefly climbing). Walked around watching the peafowl & lizards for awhile.
Cute, small, creek running parallel. There is an area for outdoor teaching, such as a class, that has 20 or so wood block seats.
