Confirmed from Dyer Central Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Green space with baseball fields, soccer fields and a dog park.
What runners say about Dyer Central Park
“The dog park is well maintained and new items have been added recently.”
Amazing walking trails. There are both paved and grassy trails to save your dog's paws on those hot asphalt days! Awesome dog park, very well kept area. A hidden gem!
I am always surprised by how few people use this park. If you want a park virtually all to yourself during the week this place is it. The dog park is well maintained and new items have been added recently. The park is also conveniently located near the walking trail so you can park and walk.
It was soooo much better at Central Park! There was lots of room and I appreciated that you could walk around with your adult beverage instead of being stuck in the tent. Good variety of food and the band Rockopoly was fantastic!
I like to go here and walk and meditate on the Lord and journal and it clears my mind to be in the open space and just to see the people around me. It is a nice environment in the middle of a residential area.

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- SurfacePaved — asphalt or concrete. Fast and predictable, runnable year-round, and fine with a stroller
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- At the trailheadparking, restrooms — reported by runners
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
- Stroller / wheelchairReported as smooth and step-free enough for a running stroller or a chair.
