Confirmed from Eagle Island State Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Spacious riverside park with hiking & riding trails, disc golf, picnic areas & a recreational lake.

“Bring your own Shade (May of 2026) New campground and RV sites.”
“Eagle Island is such a versatile and peaceful location for sessions!”
This is a set of lovely wide Open Fields interlaced with canal ditches surrounded on two sides by running water. It's a good place to bring a dog off leash as long as your dog isn't aggressive towards other dogs or has a problem with horses.
I was told it's an old abandoned farm. Mostly flat with river in the side. Love the old abandoned homes, barn, and silos. Good for walking. Some areas had puddles and muddy. Wear appropriate shoes. Dogs can be off leashed.
Everything is brand new and neat and clean. Warm showers for no charge. Camping spots are huge with full hook ups. I’ve never been to a State Park with as much separation between campsites. Will soon be a five star but for now everything is so barren and the trees are so small.
Beautiful place! Great for disc golf, running, swimming, park activities and more! If you're looking for a good long scenic walk, play an 18 hole game of disc golf or just relax and go for a swim, this is a great spot. Can get busy during the summer. Does have $7 admission per vehicle

“Great beach area for the kids to play in and the area that's roped off for swimming is shallow enough for my 7 year old to go out into with the water level not passing her neck.”
