Confirmed from East Community Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

🏞️ beautiful scenery 8 mentions

“Beautiful park with tons of walking trails, places for dogs to run, and facilities for basketball, tennis, and a playground for kids.”

🐕 dog-walking favorite 3 mentions

“A nice relaxing place to take your dog on walk.”

Absolutely PHENOMENAL. Favorite park in the area. Clean, beautiful, quiet, and best of all - free. The trail is closely wound around the lake, with a perfect blend of natural vegetation and views of the water. Nice playground located along the trail for the kids. There are also numerous access points to the water.

★★★★★ — Tyler , May 2018

This park has a playground that is good for young children and older children in the same place there are low slides and slides and climbing areas for older kids. There are pora-potties available near the playground and at the beginning of the walking path near the lake. The walking path is paved and in good condition.

★★★★★ — April , Aug 2022

Beautiful park area with options for kayaking, dock fishing and biking or walking . It also has a nice play ground. I recommend this area.

★★★★★ — Latisha , Jun 2020

Beautiful paved walking path with bridge across the water. Connects to other paths. Benches to rest. Lots of wildlife including a resident bald eagle. Great for walking the dog. Tennis courts, baseball field, kids playground, picnic pavilion, and open space.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

The practical stuff

  • AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
  • SurfacePaved — asphalt or concrete. Fast and predictable, runnable year-round, and fine with a stroller
  • DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
  • ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
  • At the trailheadparking, restrooms — reported by runners
  • DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
