Confirmed from East Fork Mine Creek Trail Head's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about East Fork Mine Creek Trail Head
“Beautiful and a nice lunch break getting out on this trail.”
“This is a very shaded and peaceful walking trail along the side of a stream.”
Great newer trail connecting Honeycutt Park north of I-540 and Shelley Lake. The only disadvantage is being on the road between Strickland and the trailhead and Newton/Six Forks before getting back on the Greenway.
Great paved trail along a creek. Beautiful and a nice lunch break getting out on this trail. Parked on the street, easy.
Awesome ride! We went over to Meredith college from here. Next time I'll bring a bike with bigger tires as the beginning of the trail can be pretty bumpy for a street bike.
This a great walking path. We usually start at the trailhead, make our way down the Shelly lake, make the loop and then head back. It’s a great walk and the path is wide enough to safely take kids on bikes/scooters with you.
