We have not been able to confirm the surface, distance or shape of Greenway Trail North Hills yet from its own listing, the park's website or runner reviews — so those cells stay blank rather than guess. What is below comes straight from the listing and from reviewers' own words. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Greenway Trail North Hills

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (23 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

well-maintained 3 mentions

“The painted butterflies on the septic clean-outs was a brilliant idea that needs to be extended to the whole system!”

🏞️ beautiful scenery 4 mentions

“Well maintained greenway, beautiful scenery.”

This is a fantastic stretch of greenway towards Shelley Lake. The painted butterflies on the septic clean-outs was a brilliant idea that needs to be extended to the whole system! The rough sections before Shelley will soon be remade to be safer which will make this even better.

★★★★★ — Dennis , Jun 2022

Great place for walking, skating, roller blading, and cycling. The trails have almost no grade making them ideal for roller blades.

★★★★★ — Laurence , Mar 2022

The Greenway is excellent for exercising, commuting, and spending time in nature.

★★★★★ — Lauren , Nov 2020

Good place to go and walk alone with your thoughts .not much of a people person.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
