Confirmed from Egypt Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Kid-friendly park, featuring a playground with rubberized flooring, swings and picnic tables.
What runners say about Egypt Park
“The playground is always clean and well taken care off”
“Very nice place beautiful scenery.”
Absolutely love this place! There's a spot that plays sounds too but lately it hasn't been working :( can the park by chance fix it?? I really love everything about this park and my kids do too. I live in Newark and will gladly drive the 30 mins to this park lol.
Easily a five star review. This is a beautifully maintained park. The playground is top notch and features a nice soft rubberized surface. The bathrooms could use an update, but they're clean. They DO NOT have changing tables. There is a nice pavilion, garbage cans, lots of grills (at least 8).
Great place to take kids! Big safe playground with lots of fun activities, and with swings the have seats/ straps for really young kiddos, as well as the meant for older kids. The ground isn't woodchips, it's the safe soft rubber flooring.
Trail conditions & character
“There are bathrooms, plenty of tables, a water spicket, an open grassy area and an open pavilion.”
“Large parking lot, right next to the animal adoption center making for a nice walk over and a fun day for all.”
“Nice flat paved area right next to the playground.”
“There's a water fountain for fresh water and a hiking path, that we didn't get a chance to walk.”
