Confirmed from El Rancho Verde Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

Nice neighborhood park in Cerritos / LA Palma boarder. Park is located in both cities. The Cerritos side has fitness equipment, children's play ground and a garden area. With both paved and dirt paths. Always people out walking around. Clean and well.kept park.

Just moved to the area and this is a great park. It has accessible walking paths and brand new exercise equipment. The park and gardens are very clean and well kept.

Arrived at 7:30AM and parked in the neighborhood nearby. I jogged from the culdesac, to Caballeros Nursery, and back to the culdesac along the paved path. It was about a 5 mile jog. The area was green, with grass and trees along the way. There were others walking and jogging along the path as well. Not too busy.

★★★★★ — Alex , Sep 2024

A veritable oasis with quietness. Several benches and tables dot the landscape. A playground nestled amongst tree lined concrete paths. Two herb gardens spaced maybe one hundred feet or so apart top things off. The only drawback are the overhead powerlines. Not something to build your home near.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
