Confirmed from Eunice H. Bryan Woods State Nature Preserve's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Nature preserve featuring mature trees and trails that are suitable for families.
What runners say about Eunice H. Bryan Woods State Nature Preserve
“A quiet spot to get out of the house for a short walk not too far from town.”
“Easy hike, just had a light snow fall the night before and the trails held up well with just a few sloppy mud areas.”
Nice little loop trail with big trees and wildflowers. There is a quarter-mile mowed grassy path between two farm fields that connects the parking area with the actual trail.
Beautiful woods, with a nice grass trail leading up to it. We went there right after a rainstorm, so the mosquitos were out and about. Make sure to bring bug spray!
Opportunities to walk through a slice of Old Growth forest are getting rarer and rarer; at Bryan Woods you can do just that... excellent examples of large trees native to Indiana can be found here.
Signing in is a little difficult at the moment (see picture), but overall this is a great place for a nice quick and easy nature hike. Very peaceful and full of little critters.

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- SurfaceNatural surface — easiest on the joints and the most fun, but expect roots, rocks and mud after rain
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
