Confirmed from Fairchild Wildflower Sanctuary's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Fairchild Wildflower Sanctuary
“Beautiful biodiversity and rolling trails that change geography from technical rocky to wetland elevated wood decking to green meadows.”
“The last little corner of publicly accessible, free and quiet place in Greenwich.”
Please don't tell anyone about this place. The last little corner of publicly accessible, free and quiet place in Greenwich. Simple but wonderful trails. Great diversity of landscape and vegetation. The parking lot only accommodates perhaps 8 cars or so and only saw it full once in 5 years+.
Beautiful biodiversity and rolling trails that change geography from technical rocky to wetland elevated wood decking to green meadows. Nice perimeter trail for jogging that takes an hour or so. Recommend. No scenic overlook but very quiet and deep woods serene at many times.
Beautiful nature preserve / hiking trail. There is a parking lot. Free. No dogs allowed.
This is one of Gtowns best kept secrets. Small but an hour or two and you’ll see all the wildlife you need with a solid little hike.
