Confirmed from Ferd Lang Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Familiar facility showcasing pavilions and a skate park as well as a playground and a creek.
What runners say about Ferd Lang Park
“It is well kept and most people are respectful and clean up after their dogs.”
The dog park was great for our fur baby to run around in. It is well kept and most people are respectful and clean up after their dogs. The only thing I would change about it would be in the big area, remove the rock/sand and make it grass. But overall we enjoyed ourselves today.
The park is a small neighborhood park. It does have a dog park, a playground for kids, some areas with shelter, some areas with just picnic tables. Very busy small park. nice place for the neighborhood. Not much space for walking a dog if you prefer walking trails rather than the dog park area.
Overall an ok park. Not bad for a walk after work. 4 seperate fenced in areas for dogs. 2 in front 2 in the back area. Mixed bag of the people/dogs though so take your time and scout it out (of course). Decent pavilion/picnic areas Nice little bike park and volleyball area. Restrooms, not very good
Great park, IMO. I've been a couple times now and it hasn't been packed. The different areas (skatepark, playground) are a good distance apart but close enough to supervise older kids from picnic table area. Also a nice place to bring dogs to walk around the grassy areas or the walk path.
Trail conditions & character

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- SurfacePaved — asphalt or concrete. Fast and predictable, runnable year-round, and fine with a stroller
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- At the trailheadrestrooms — reported by runners
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
