Confirmed from Fernridge Park and Pool's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Green space with a pond, playground, picnic tables & a seasonal outdoor pool & splash pad.
What runners say about Fernridge Park and Pool
“The restrooms were clean and there was a Little Free Library right near there.”
“What I loved about the park was the ample amount of shade.”
Fern is my favorite park in town. Very nice scenery especially in the Summer/Fall months. It is really nice for kids playing games, baseball, tennis, basketball, and the pool. It is a very safe and quiet park with lots of green grass and a lovely brook running through it.
if you go off the path into the woods there is a small stream just over the river. it is quite shallow and fun to wade in. if you see a rock dam i built part of that.
I love it here! It’s a great environment to walk, bring your kids or dog. The pool is very nice in the summer. We had our children’s birthday party here once in September. Highly recommend!
The spalshpad is perfect for my toddler and older siblings. There is plenty of shade and water for a very hot day. There are showers and changing rooms available if needed.

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeRunners describe real tree cover here — it makes a summer afternoon workable
- LightingRunners report lights on the path — useful for pre-dawn and after-work miles. Lighting and opening hours are separate things, so check both.
- At the trailheadparking, restrooms — reported by runners
- Stroller / wheelchairReported as smooth and step-free enough for a running stroller or a chair.
