Confirmed from Fish Creek - Dallas County Nature Preserve's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

“Clean Park, lots for the kids to do.”

🌳 shaded & cool 4 mentions

“I only wish they would install some shade sails to provide shade for the playground equipment to make it a more inviting place in 95° or hotter weather.”

Super cute park that is different and unique. Clean and well kept. Nice walking trail too.

A pretty nice playground with a couple slides, climbing rock, swings for big kids and toddlers, and some pretend play areas. I like that it has a small trail, but it's not continuous; it ends at Carrier. Has a small pavilion that can be rented. No water fountain. Can walk dogs there; there's a little poop can in site.

Nice little trail. If you look close, my wife spotted an end of an old bridge where wagons use to cross. For some unknown reason my dog use to stop and scratch vigorously at this one place down by the creek every time we went there. He also led me to Ophilia West grave. Absolutely unexplainabe!!!!!!!

Nice park, not crowded and a good selection of play areas. Not shaded so plan your play time accordingly. Paved trail alongside Creek maybe about a 1/3 mile long and big open fields great for casual sports like frisbee, soccer, or flag football although no outlined fields.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
