Confirmed from BigCedar MTB Trail's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about BigCedar MTB Trail
First visit back since 2013 after the big dispute. A lot of work has been put in to bring this trail back to life after being forced to close by Oncor and The Church. Markings for loops need improvement/replacing as you can get lost rather easily.
The freerider jump station has been removed sadly, but the single trails are still fun. Plus, a few new trails have been added, so it might be a good idea to challenge yourself with something new.
Arguably the best MTB trails in DFW. If it's your first time to drive there, when you get to the church, go all the way through their parking lot and then cross the gravel lot. MTB parking is further back.

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
