Confirmed from Flick Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Flick Park

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (307 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

🏞️ beautiful scenery 4 mentions

“Overall the park is beautiful.”

🏃 great for running 3 mentions

“It has plenty of slides and play structures to keep children entertained, along with a spacious grass field perfect for running around.”

Landscape is well maintained with a small arboretum on the South end. I go there in the mornings for a run, the running path is paved all the way and is right at 1 mi. Overall the park is beautiful.

★★★★★ — Chris , Sep 2022

A very big park with plenty of room for different sports. There is a play area for kids, a large park where at least four soccer games can occur at the same time, a large baseball park, 3 sand volleyball courts and plenty of parking space. Plenty of space to go for a walk or bike as well.

★★★★★ — Jinoj , Jul 2023

Flick Park is a great spot for families with little kids. It has plenty of slides and play structures to keep children entertained, along with a spacious grass field perfect for running around. We were even surprised by a couple of deer that wandered out of nowhere.

Great neighborhood park to walk the dogs on leash or to play tennis or pickleball. There were public restrooms and water fountains which I appreciate not being from the area. We didn’t go to the water park portion but it looked like fun!

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

Flat & fast 4 mentions

“There is a large, friendly group of mid-level players mornings, and often afternoons have both mid-level and high level players.”

The practical stuff

  • AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
  • DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
  • ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
  • LightingRunners report lights on the path — useful for pre-dawn and after-work miles. Lighting and opening hours are separate things, so check both.
  • At the trailheadparking, restrooms, water — reported by runners
  • DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
