The trail from the Olustee battlefield site to the Gum Swamp Rd is 9.6 miles. There is a small primitive camp ground about 8.5 miles in ( 30.27513, -82.47587) that has a fire ring a covered shelter and a toilet. When we walked it on 11/1/19 the path was cleared and clean.
Enjoyed time in the trail with my brother. No animals, I guess they were hibernating which is a time when to conserve energy they practice chi by sleeping a long time, which inhale tried to achieve myself. Dang animals always got the supernatural powers.
Nice hike through the pines. Great section of the Florida Trail few watery sections but always a way around for the adventurous or through if you don’t mind wet feet
