Confirmed from Forest Run Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Public recreation space with basketball, handball & tennis courts, plus a playground & trails.
What runners say about Forest Run Park
“A nice park in the Countryside neighborhood that is always well-maintained and the playground is fun for kids.”
“Not much shade covering on the playground so avoid heat of midday in summer.”
Nice little walking trail 🏞️around the park. I like the 2 tennis/racquetball🎾 walls. Wooded 🌳🌴area so watch your back. Playground 🤸🏼♂️⛹🏽♀️👣for kids. Cute little squirrels 🐿️ everywhere. 4 ⭐⭐⭐⭐ instead of 5 because NO BATHROOM 😬😰🚻🚱🚽
Nice little park in the city. Playground, tennis courts, racket, or handball courts. Parking. At least 1 picnic table. Hiking trail that i use daily. Trail is 0.6 miles plus the walk to and home comes to about 1 mile. 6 is no restrooms.
I mainly use the park for the tennis courts, lights stay on until 11 p.m tennis and basketball courts have been recently resurfaced and a few benches added. There is a short trail around the back side the park and there is also a very large wall with two sections for racquet ball/ handball.
AWESOME PARK!!! Basketball, tennis, racket ball, walking, running, basketball court has time for the lights at night!!

“I think it's completely wheelchair accessible.”

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeRunners describe real tree cover here — it makes a summer afternoon workable
- LightingRunners report lights on the path — useful for pre-dawn and after-work miles. Lighting and opening hours are separate things, so check both.
- At the trailheadrestrooms, water — reported by runners
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
- Stroller / wheelchairReported as smooth and step-free enough for a running stroller or a chair.
