Confirmed from Oldsmar Trail Head's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Oldsmar Trail Head

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (33 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

I ride a recumbent trike and the Oldsmar Trail offers a safe area for my ride, I mostly do the area between the Mapleleaf Boulevard's board walk and the Oldsmar Sports Complex but I've also done the spur to Forest Lake Road. The areas are well maintained and offer a paved surface.

Very peaceful, not a lot of foot traffic in the evening. Be careful when walking small dogs under the bridge. I saw a large crocodile in the water about 15 feet away from the sidewalk under the bridge.

This is a good start to walk in Oldsmar. Not many parking places. I recommend walking to The Indian restaurant for a wonderful meal and back to the car.

★★★★★ — James , Dec 2021

This trail head would be an awesome place for a kayak ramp to be able to fish the Tarpon Canal or recreational kayak the canal. The small parking lot is right there. There was a nice kayak ramp at the south end of the trail but don’t know if it’s still there since the hurricanes.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
