Confirmed from Fort Nugent Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Park with many sports fields & courts, a playground, walking trails & an 18-hole disc-golf course.
What runners say about Fort Nugent Park
“Great fields, lots of space, well-kept, fun playgrounds, a walking trail, and covered areas.”
What a great Park!! Beautiful play structure, big swing set, lots of room to run and play. Definitely recommend going there with family when you're in town.
We love Fort Nugent Park! Great fields, lots of space, well-kept, fun playgrounds, a walking trail, and covered areas. Concessions during football season and lots of parking. Definitely the best recreational park in north Whidbey.
Excellent city park for football and soccer practice fields, big playground, woods trails. I love it for it's disc golf course. There are a few layouts to play (all on one course).
I was needing a place I could walk my dog and find shade before going to the Blue Fox Drive-in.. This was it! This park has upper and lower level parking nice soccer fields below with a walking loop..and the bathroom is located in the center of lower and upper lot.

- At the trailheadparking, restrooms, water — reported by runners
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
