Confirmed from Four Creeks Preserve's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Four Creeks Preserve

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (26 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

🏞️ beautiful scenery 5 mentions

“I'm a land surveyor for a living so I walk a lot and see a lot of beautiful scenery.”

Four Creeks Preserve is a new 700 acre wetlands preserve in NW Gainesville owned jointly by the city and Alachua county that was saved from development by citizen action, most notably by the people who live in the adjoining neighborhood of TCF. There are 2 walking entrances one on NW 13th st.

Nice place for a short walk in the woods. I can see where the trails would get very damp but it's been dry the last few weeks. So it was an easy walk. I can't wait until the habitat restoration is done!

★★★★☆ — Elena , Oct 2019

Beautiful trail but no parking in either entrance. I love that the city built this preserve but how are all tax payers going to enjoy it? We all paid for the park, not just the neighborhoods nearby.

★★★★☆ — Cesar , Feb 2026

The trail is well maintained and very pretty BUT there's a lot of ticks on this trail so wear long pants and socks when you walk it.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
