Confirmed from Fox Point State Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Playground, picnic area & trails are featured in this riverside state park with beautiful vistas.
What runners say about Fox Point State Park
“Amazing park, secluded, well maintained and there are few pavilions with barbecue grill along side.”
“Always a fave to walk the paved trail along the water, sunset is gorgeous and its a good place to see some big watercrafts.”
Amazing park, secluded, well maintained and there are few pavilions with barbecue grill along side. Great for a walk, jogging, dog walk, to sit and relax on the river side for sometime, wonderful for a picnic, couple of barbecue grill. Wonderful kids play area and rides.
If you want a quiet place away from a lot of people, near some water, then you might enjoy it here. Self pay upon entrance using a card and then pull into the first parking area. Here you will find restrooms and the children's playarea and sandbox. The two play areas are suitable for 2-12 year olds.
The state park itself is nice. There is a trail next to the Delaware river and the view is great. Took away the one star due to the condition of the playground. A bunch of spiderwebs and one of the slides was blocked off just with a plywood on either end. The kids and I enjoyed more of the trail than the playground.
This little park is very relaxing. A hidden gem. Plenty of parking. Family friendly place to take the kids to let run around. Ships go by all the time which is actually entertaining. Brown eagles fly around the area. I sometimes would fly my drone over the river. Fun times.

“Back loop is accessible from trails but if you drive its a gravel road so maybe not great if you have a car that sits low.”

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- SurfacePaved — asphalt or concrete. Fast and predictable, runnable year-round, and fine with a stroller
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
