Confirmed from Frank Hall Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Area with a small playground and benches, featuring canoe rentals, a dock and trails.
What runners say about Frank Hall Park
Nice walking/biking paths right on the lake, good size. I like walking my dog here (there are lots of garbage cans!). The paths also connect to the Blazing Star trail is you want to go further. There is some play equipment for kids-- a slide, rock wall, swings, etc.
Quiet small park with access to trail system, several benches, tiny playground area for small children, clean rest rooms, lots of shade trees (just not in parking area) bikes & those scooter things available. Paddle courts, horseshoes, basketball hoops & city pool across the street with separate parking area.
Frank Hall Park has little something for everyone: Pickleball courts, nearby aquatic Center, boat launch, football field, hiking trail, lots of shoreline access to Albert Lea Lake for fishing and sightseeing, the pelican breeze boat tours, playground, bathroom facilities, plenty of parking, and more.
Always peaceful, with a dock, playground, canoe's to rent, bike repair station, pavilions, bike trail, walking trail and located by the city pool. A plus is you can see alot of nature in the middle of town for FREE! Oh, restrooms until 10 pm.
Trail conditions & character
“Offers bathrooms which do close in the winter months.”

- ShadeRunners describe real tree cover here — it makes a summer afternoon workable
- At the trailheadparking, restrooms — reported by runners
