Confirmed from Franklin Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

🏞️ beautiful scenery 7 mentions

“My dog makes me go into secluded areas and loves to climb high and high into the woods, well this he found a beautiful spot!”

It is truly a pleasure and a treat to have beautiful open green park spaces in the city. For years I have enjoyed running and playing and walking and enjoying great company with good friends visiting the park.

I walk my dog everyday through the park and we LOVE the trails! So many! I don't know when we will have officially walked them all and we are excited to keep at it! Notables: CLEAN, plenty of stairs for cardio, multiple spots for picnics, the zoo, the field where the Puerto Rican festival is lol- go!

A beautiful park with plenty of wooded trails, sports fields, small ponds, and roads. Host to public events like festivals and light shows as well as a great zoo. A great place to quickly slip out of the city and be surrounded by nature.

★★★★★ — Slyla , Jul 2026

I truly do enjoy my walks through the park. This here is the old bear caves. Perfect for photo shoots or just to walk and explore. Towards the other side of White Stadium you will find parts of an old Castle. Overall beautiful place.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

  • LightingRunners report lights on the path — useful for pre-dawn and after-work miles. Lighting and opening hours are separate things, so check both.
