Confirmed from Franklin Simpson Park & Rec's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Sizable park featuring playgrounds, grass fields and a creek.
What runners say about Franklin Simpson Park & Rec
“The mulch could be maintained a little better and more clean but otherwise a pleasant experience!”
“This is a great little park, there's all kinds of stuff to do including catching a little red eye rock bass and some beautiful pumpkin seed panfish.”
“Very close to our home and it’s just a nice peaceful area that everyone plays.”
Very nice park. Several well maintained sports fields. Friendly, welcoming staff. Drive through Christmas lights show is set up and ready for viewing. Went here to do some walking. Walked along the park roads as there is not a dedicated walking/jogging path. Maybe one day soon. There is also a frisbee golf course.
Nice park!!! Always clean.. no dog park but there is plenty of space to let your dog run
Its a great place to walk, to take your family, to enjoy nature. The guys who work there to maintain it do their best every day to keep it safe and clean. Bathrooms do need to be updated but they serve their purpose. It does flood if it rains too much at once but the water does go back down quickly.
This park was way bigger than I expected. Beautiful large grass areas, and seemed to have plenty of other park amenities. I did not use the restrooms, just let my dogs run around for a bit. It was very peaceful and quiet when we went.
