Confirmed from Friends Of The White Pine Trail's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
This flat 92-mile rail trail for walking, biking & skiing features paved portions & diverse scenery.
What runners say about Friends Of The White Pine Trail
“Trail is well kept, the beautiful river near and scenic landscapes are a treat with no car hazards as with non-trail riding on roads.”
Great trailhead, and the path is seamlessly accessible for wheelchair users. Lots of great views of staghorn sumac and goldenrod in the fall!
Do you know how much I love the white pine trail? So much! Particularly, between Cadillac and Reed City. Such beautiful woods, marshes, streams, farms, wide open spaces, snakes, turtles, frogs, birds, eagles, hawks, cows, horses, pileated woodpeckers, indigo buntings, and so many other friends.
I have not lived here but for a month..totally enjoy walking this trail has stops at local shops easy access to town the nature way..love the winter sight can't wait for the other seasons
White Pine Trails is a great place to bike ride, jog, walk, roller blade etc. It's patrolled by volunteers & that always makes me feel a little safer. Beautiful scenery.
