Confirmed from Kenwood Heritage Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (523 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

well-maintained 6 mentions

“Clean, scenic, not coded, enjoyable place to spend time with kids or get some cardio in and enjoy the views”

🏞️ beautiful scenery 4 mentions

“Beautiful place to take a walk on some trails, we recently took a walk around 10 at night with the lanterns lighting the trail, what an amazing time.”

🌳 shaded & cool 3 mentions

“Lots of areas to sit and eat shaded and non-shaded areas.”

It was a very nice, clean park. Good wooden playground. I could find 2 bathroom areas with drinking fountains. Its very close to the Mitchell lake in Cadillac. The water was a great temperature this past weekend and you could see the fish, pretty clearly. The seaweed was the only downfall I found. Lots of picnic areas.

The kids enjoyed their playground and they had this contraption that, in 10 years with kids and a bazillion playgrounds, I had never seen before. They used a crank to pull this little cart across the playground, it was fun! It's nearly directly on the beach, nice sandy beach with shallow waters.

It was pretty fun with the kids. Pretty nice beach and playground. Restrooms are right there by beach and playground so didn't have to walk far. Lots of areas to sit and eat shaded and non-shaded areas. Nice boat launch. And across the road a nice play area and Pavilion and disc golf course.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

🚻 Restrooms 6 mentions

“But the best parts are the wonderful playground, serene waterfront, and picnic area/bathrooms.”
