Confirmed from Gamewell Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Recreational park with a playground, picnic shelters, basketball and tennis courts, and a walking trail.
What runners say about Gamewell Park
“Clean and well maintained park for families to come and visit.”
Great place to take the kids for a picnic and fun! They also have a walking trail around the park. And a spot to throw birthdays! And a basket ball court
Nice and clean park. They need to allow dogs and pets and set up a doggy clean up station with rules saying pick up your pets poo with bags to put it in. Makes the town seem un welcoming and un friendly to not allow part of my family. My service dog goes everywhere I go.
My grandson loves the playground also has picnic tables basketball court got a tennis court it also has a walk-in area it also has a field big enough that you can throw footballs back and forward to one another or practice soccer room enough where you can throw frisbees but they do not allow animals at this park
Great place to grill out, play a practice round of disc golf, walk a track, play basketball, ride scooters. Lots of kids on the playground so we kept off to the side and tossed a football and baseball. Port o potty’s on site. Local PD cruises in and out which I like. We felt safe and no dog poo!

The practical stuff
- AccessHours vary — hours are not posted for this trail, so check before an early or late run
- SurfacePaved — asphalt or concrete. Fast and predictable, runnable year-round, and fine with a stroller
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- LightingRunners report lights on the path — useful for pre-dawn and after-work miles. Lighting and opening hours are separate things, so check both.
- At the trailheadparking, restrooms — reported by runners
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
