Confirmed from Gano Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Park along the water with a walking path, athletic fields, and a basketball court.
What runners say about Gano Park
“There are also some great views of the old Crook Point Bascule Bridge, a local landmark that may soon be refurbished into a LED art display.”
Nice park on the banks of the Seekonk River with sprawling, open fields, basketball courts, baseball fields, a community garden, and is right along a bike path. This park is great for a picnic or a pickup game of football or soccer.
Gano Park is a small park on the water near Indian Point. It has limited parking so I usually park near Waterman Grille. The pathway starts at the Goodwill store. In a few minutes you'll be at Gano Park.
Its a nice park to play soccer, fish and see jellyfish during the spring time, theres a nice little playground kids can climb up on and its really cool to go over the India Point Bridge to East Side.
Such a nice area! It has basketball courts a misc use soccer field and baseball area all right next to the beautiful water. There is also a nicely paved bike/running path that stretches through the park and connects to several other near by parks.

“The path is along the water and there is a good view of the bridge which is in the up position From Gano one can head to Indian Point or walk up Wickendon Street.”
“The East bay bike path starts there where you can cross over the bridge and at night time you can see a side of the city silhouette, bridge and high way all lit up and shiny.”

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- SurfacePaved — asphalt or concrete. Fast and predictable, runnable year-round, and fine with a stroller
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- LightingRunners report lights on the path — useful for pre-dawn and after-work miles. Lighting and opening hours are separate things, so check both.
- At the trailheadparking — reported by runners
