Confirmed from Garden Creek Preserve | Hells Canyon's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Garden Creek Preserve | Hells Canyon
It was a great place for a vacation. There are two cabins that people can rent out. I heard it's $200 per night. Each cabin are suitable up to 10 people. Good facilities are available. I saw wild turkeys and quail birds. Great place for fishing, hiking and camp fire near the shore.
This was a very interesting place to stop along the Snake River. They served us a very good lunch. They generate their own electricity from water coming down the hill and they irrigate a lot. Had a lot of interesting plants, growing vegetables and other things to eat.
Very peaceful place on the Snake River run by the Nature Conservancy. Provides a stop for jet boat tours on the river to have lunch.

The practical stuff
- AccessDawn to dusk — the gates close, so do not plan a run that finishes after dark
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
