Confirmed from Gary L. Pittman Memorial Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Popular as a soccer-tournament facility, this green space also offers a walking trail & playground.
What runners say about Gary L. Pittman Memorial Park
“The park felt safe, clean, and very well maintained the entire time I was there”
“The playground is shaded, which is a big plus, especially with kids.”
Nice soccer fields. Walking trail / walking path is paved but needs maintenance. Watch for spots where the roots pushed up pavement. Can walk in .25 mile circle around soccer field, and a larger loop as well. Easy to access from parking lot. Good for seniors, good to walk dogs.
Positives: Good park with lots of natural shade over the playground. Lots of big soccer fields. Good walking biking path around the fields if you just need to stretch your legs. Downsides: playground could use a refresh, new paint etc. Water fountain does not work and hasn't for a long time.
Pittman Park is great for playing Pokémon Go! As of May 2024, the park has 3 gyms, several pokestops, and several routes. The park has walking paths, athletic fields for sports such as soccer and lacrosse, a playground, and picnic tables.
Gary L. Pittman Memorial Park is a nice, clean, well-kept park. The playground is shaded, which is a big plus, especially with kids. There is also a smooth trail/track around the field that works well for biking, rollerblading, or walking.

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- SurfacePaved — asphalt or concrete. Fast and predictable, runnable year-round, and fine with a stroller

- ShadeRunners describe real tree cover here — it makes a summer afternoon workable
- At the trailheadrestrooms, water — reported by runners
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
- Stroller / wheelchairReported as smooth and step-free enough for a running stroller or a chair.
