Confirmed from Pineforest Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Pineforest Park

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (86 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

🌾 quiet & peaceful 4 mentions

“Very nice small park and a quiet neighborhood my granddaughter had a wonderful time playing”

Neighborhood park with a .21 mile track. Maintained by the City of Mauldin. Play thing for kids and a charcoal grill. Quiet, family oriented neighborhood.

★★★★★ — Grant , Oct 2020

Two/tenths of a mile walking track, basketball court and play area. Very nice and in good condition. Also several benches if you need to sit for a spell.

★★★★★ — Danielle , Jul 2021

Randomly in the middle of a neighborhood but has a great little area for kids. Probably better for older kids. We brought our 16 month old. Used this park to break up a roadtrip and it was perfect! Large grassy Area with a loop and dog bag stations , basketball court, and kids playground with a bench.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

The practical stuff

  • AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
  • SurfacePaved — asphalt or concrete. Fast and predictable, runnable year-round, and fine with a stroller
  • DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
  • ShadeRunners describe real tree cover here — it makes a summer afternoon workable
  • At the trailheadparking, restrooms — reported by runners
  • DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
