63.26 acres Georgia Hanford Park, established due to a gift by the Margaret and Hanford MacNider family. The park was given in portions over a three-year period from 1963-1965 and is on the southeast side of Mason City. The park contains 59.73 acres of land. The Arthur J.
Was a short visit. Clean as usual. Water fountain is now missing since the last time I was there. Great place to take dogs for walks. Has trails on the east side of the park for walking or jogging.
Beautiful and peaceful park to walk around in. It has a playground, a rest shelter, a baseball diamond and a gorgeous trail to walk. Bring a friend or bring a dog, this is a really nice park.
I often come here to walk the trails, bike, or look for deer. It has changed since I was a kid as the island is not a picnic area any longer. I still enjoy the weeping willow trees and dragonflies. The addition of all the different tree species in the Arboretum is interesting.
