Confirmed from Gilroy Sports Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
A 79-acre park with soccer fields, baseball & softball courts, a jogging track, trails & playground.
What runners say about Gilroy Sports Park
“It's usually always clean, there isn't tons of traffic because you have to drive a good five minutes to get there.”
Pretty awesome park, well kept and maintained plus bike trails leading to the park as well. Pretty cool place to chill especially as dusk approaches. Local sports leagues, as well as independent and group activities i.e. workouts, walks around the park and a pretty cool sunset view.
Gilroy Sports Park nestled on the South side of Gilroy is a park with several fields put together, all ranging from baseball, soccer and playgrounds. Plenty of space for you and your dog, to jog around or sit n watch your kids play, this park is very active with teams practicing and running drills, even as the sun…
My daughter and I stumbled upon this park while biking the levee trail. It's used for softball and soccer when it's busy. We tend to visit when nothing is going on and have the place to ourselves. Great place for her to get some safe laps in on her bike and a nice getaway for me.
The best kept lawn I've seen. I've never seen many people there.I did see the best trained dog there the other day! Kudos to his mom.The last 8/10s mile of the bike trail loops the field. You want to loop it 2 or 3 times to make the ride long enough. There is a nice playground for kids.
Trail conditions & character
“Sports raise testosterone and my dog enjoyed lowering his cortisol here”
“Love taking my daughter to run around to wear off some energy, I'm not worried I won't be able to see her cuz it's a opened view from playground n seating area.”
“Keep in mind, I don't think there are any bathrooms.”
“It's the park I choose over every other parking Gilroy.”
