quiet, winter wet and still, very few visitors, natural habitat that one wishes were connected upon endless miles unbroken but alongside farms and housing developments.
Like most Metroparks, it appears well-maintained. The walking paths are either paved or wide mowed grass, and they are easy level surfaces. There are no dirt/rugged hiking trails here, but it's a pleasant enough place to go for a stroll.
This park really used to be a bit boring, but over the last few years, with the added trails they've put in, it's quickly become one of my more enjoyable parks.
Today was my first time at this park. I came here for a family cookout. I the parks trail and all the ponds. This is a great park.
