Confirmed from Glasgow Regional Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
County park with woodland trails, tennis & basketball courts, a skate park & a farmer's market.
What runners say about Glasgow Regional Park
“Beautiful to have a picnic during summer, or just run/walk for a quick (but long) trek around the entire park.”
“There are tennis courts, pickle ball courts, large and small fenced in dog parks, walking trails, fishing, two state of the art playgrounds!”
I've always enjoyed going out to the park. I used to take my two children when they were smaller now they are college-aged and high school. I take walks for exercise and good mental health. I have used their tennis courts before as well. I like how Glasgow Park hosts different festivals and walks for the community.
This is one of my favorite parks in the state. Every time I visit the dog park, it’s never crowded, but you definitely have to know when to go. They are low on dog bags, so make sure to always bring your own. Beautiful to have a picnic during summer, or just run/walk for a quick (but long) trek around the entire park.
Love this place. The place has 1) track for only walking and jogging 2) dog park 3) tennis court 4)basketball court 5) pickle ball court 6) children play ground 7) walk-way ( u can walk with ur pet) 8) farmer’s market on every Thursday 9) pond 8) small Tekri And lot more.. Best place to hangout
This park is one of my favorite parks in New Castle County Delaware. It’s 2.7 miles of a paved loop that goes past cattails, Barns, open fields and woods. It has two dog parks! It has a sledding hill. I love walking here so much!
Trail conditions & character
“There are tennis courts, pickle ball courts, large and small fenced in dog parks, walking trails, fishing, two state of the art playgrounds!”
“- CONS: is the only park and recreation in the area, so everyone goes here and gets crowded and limited parking during high times.”
“If you’re feeling adventurous, a climbing hill off one of the paths!”
“One downside is that there are no proper public restrooms, but there are small portable potties near the parking areas.”
“Big park that is easily accessible with plenty of parking available in different regions of the park.”
“We walked over near a water fountain, and followed a large path through the park.”
Plan your run at Glasgow Regional Park
The practical stuff
- AccessDawn to dusk — the gates close, so do not plan a run that finishes after dark
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- At the trailheadparking, restrooms, water — reported by runners
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
- Stroller / wheelchairReported as smooth and step-free enough for a running stroller or a chair.
