Confirmed from Goddard Memorial State Park Beach's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Goddard Memorial State Park Beach

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (337 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

well-maintained 6 mentions

“We had a work retreat there and it was really relaxing and didn’t feel like you were working at all and it was nice and clean.”

🏞️ beautiful scenery 6 mentions

“I really appreciate her being there ❣ she does a lot to put our beautiful beach on the higher level 👍”

🌾 quiet & peaceful 6 mentions

“Best place early in the morning to watch the calm water of the bay and the seagulls!”

Very peaceful, tranquil spot to visit for a nice walk. My husband and I enjoyed taking a walk here together, weather was perfect. Not a busy or crowded location. Only thing we didn't love is that many people seem to walk their dogs here and not clean up after them. Friendly word of advice: watch your step!

This is a nice beach for a walk or spending some outside to catch a sunset. Not really a beach I'd swim at but there is a sandy area for bathing. Parking is easy and the hiking trails are nice and easy to access.

Such a special park and beach. Golf course and lots of picnic areas for having gatherings or to enjoy the walks through out the paths. Horse back riding here too. So fun to walk the beach and to Kayak. Even seem a dolphin! Windsurfing and foiling too! Goddard has is all.

★★★★★ — Steve , Nov 2025

Grounds are nice and well kept up. Horse riding permitted on the property. Many trails that parallel the beach. Better at high tide then low for sure. Wonderful place to host a barbeque. Healthy family atmosphere with a fair amount of diversity. An environment to meet new people.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
