Confirmed from Good Earth State Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Riverside park offering scenic views, hiking and geocaching.

SD's newest state park just east of Sioux Falls on the SD Iowa border. The Big Sioux River runs along the eastern edge. Several miles of hiking trails in this oak savannah habitat. Great place to see birds of the eastern deciduous forest.
This is my favorite place around Sioux Falls to hike and walk the dog. It has an extensive layout of trails along the Big Sioux river. This place is great for all seasons and us generally not to crowded.
I Love Coming Here with Kids Getting them outdoors for a relaxing Hike. I have Kids From ages 5-12 and they did A 3 Mile Hike with No problem. Thereare Little pathways to get on the River path.
Good Earth State Park is an overall great state park to check out. I was really looking forward to checking out the visitor center, but we got there around 11am on a Sunday, and the visitor center did not open til 1pm on Sundays. The building is large and looks to have a lot going on inside. Hiked a bit on the trails.

The practical stuff
- AccessHours vary — hours are not posted for this trail, so check before an early or late run
- SurfaceNatural surface — easiest on the joints and the most fun, but expect roots, rocks and mud after rain
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- Stroller / wheelchairReported as smooth and step-free enough for a running stroller or a chair.
