Confirmed from Goosepond Mountain State Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
State park featuring over 1,500 acres of dense woods, with established trails for hiking & biking.

Had first hike here over the weekend, by 51 and rt17m. Beautiful views. Not sure if the all downed trees on the main (mostly paved) trail were always there or fell this winter, but they are easily passed.
Lazy hill rd trail partially paved / gravel 3 miles each way with some up and down. Great side trails for exploring, is great on foot or bike. Parking lot is at the northeastern corner
Goosepond Mountain trail was awesome. I have lived within 5 minutes of this trail for 25 years and have never tried it. Great hike with nice vistas of the park.
This is a hidden trail that reminds me of Jax, Florida with its board walk. Bring your family to enjoy the view and hear the birds sing. I didn’t see where the trail is! The park is full of tall grass and thorns, so don’t wear shorts! However it is an unpolished diamond.

“Well marked trail but “scenic” view was not really scenic even with leaves down”

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- SurfaceMixed — more than one surface along the route, so check the segment you plan to run
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
