Confirmed from Grand Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Natural, unpaved trail winding 2.2 miles through undeveloped parkland, suitable for hiking.
What runners say about Grand Park
“Super short trail, but peaceful.”
“It's a great walk for all ages and very family friendly.”
Nice and easy hike, about a mile long. Doesn't loop back around so you have to go back the same way you came. Nice for a little walk after work or maybe your morning jog. Easy hike for kids of all ages to.
It's a work in progress at just over a mile long! It's has a lot of potential.
A nice dirt trail that is a bit longer than a mile long. Quiet and rarely busy. I go running here on occasion. They have brochures at the beginning of thr trail to learn about the plants and wildlife (which I didn't use), and I thought that was nice. Well maintained. Feels secluded and peaceful.
Love exploring the remains of the settlement that once was here over 50 years ago. Have come here for over 10 expeditions and ALWAYS finding new things. Just watch out for the barbed wire because it's everywhere once you go a bit off trail.

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- SurfaceMixed — more than one surface along the route, so check the segment you plan to run
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- At the trailheadparking, restrooms, water — reported by runners
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
- Stroller / wheelchairReported as smooth and step-free enough for a running stroller or a chair.
