Confirmed from Grandview Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Well-maintained park featuring a playground, benches and an overlook of the Mississippi River as well as paved walking trails.
What runners say about Grandview Park
“Grandview Park is a beautiful and well-kept overlook of the Mississippi River from the bluffs above.”
It is KIND of a grand view if you don't stand too close to the rail and look down to see all of the industrial stuff below. But, get creative and back up a bit. Have a seat on the grass on the berm or the bench that is there facing the river. Then the view is grander.
One of the nicest view of the river. Great place to have a picnic and play with the kids. Great playground and lots of room to run and bike around
This is one of my favorite stops on my bike rides. This is a great scenic overlook of the Mississippi River. I had a surprise waiting for me on this visit. On the railing at the overlook was a 1980 issue of Natioal Geographic, with an article about the Twin Cities.
Great place. Paved walking paths, overlooks the Mississippi river. Nice place to take your dog for a walk, bags are provided, water fountain for when you are thirsty and a nice playground. Nice and safe area.
