Confirmed from Granite Civic Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Granite Civic Park

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (147 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

well-maintained 9 mentions

“Clean and safe if there was one thing I could complain about is that the tennis lights don't work consistently.”

👟 good for all levels 2 mentions

“There's a playground for all ages”

I like the playground here for kids. They have picnic tables, a sand box, tennis court, basketball court, volleyball court, outdoor obstacle workout area, baseball field, grills, water fountains, jungle gym, paved small walkway trail, and single restrooms with flushing toilets.

There is a nice trail a small creek. They even have little poo bags so you can clean up after your pup so they don't have to stay home. There's a playground for all ages

★★★★★ — Leslie , Aug 2023

Nice and clean park. Features shelters, walking area, volleyball court, tennis courts, baseball field, and a big enough playground area for kids to enjoy. The park also has restrooms for anyone who might need them under the main large shelter.

★★★★★ — Wade , Nov 2021

The kiddo love coming here. Swings, slides basketball, plenty of area to run around and get out some of that stored up energy! They have tennis courts if you play. Plenty of parking.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

🚻 Restrooms 7 mentions

“There's a playground, tennis court, basketball court for little kids, a baseball field, picnic tables, and area to grill and bathrooms under the shelter.”

Plan your run at Granite Civic Park

The practical stuff

  • AccessDawn to dusk — the gates close, so do not plan a run that finishes after dark
  • SurfacePaved — asphalt or concrete. Fast and predictable, runnable year-round, and fine with a stroller
  • DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
  • ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
  • LightingRunners report lights on the path — useful for pre-dawn and after-work miles. Lighting and opening hours are separate things, so check both.
  • At the trailheadparking, restrooms, water — reported by runners
