Confirmed from Dunn's Mountain Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Dunn's Mountain Park

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (251 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

🏞️ beautiful scenery 8 mentions

“It's kind of amazing that you don't climb much at all, but end up with this stunning view in almost every direction.”

👟 good for all levels 4 mentions

“You could easily drive by it and miss it, but taking the time to experience it is well worth the very short and easy hike to the top.”

Fun, easy hike to do with the kids. It was very short but fairly steep. I wish they let you walk out on the rocks but there isn’t much to do at the top but the view is nice. There were restrooms at the bottom but not at the top (at least none open).

★★★★★ — Kylie , May 2022

I consider Dunn’s Mountain Park a hidden gem! You could easily drive by it and miss it, but taking the time to experience it is well worth the very short and easy hike to the top. It has great views, nice trails, and is well maintained.

Views are so beautiful, worth the time to go up. Go on the weekend and a shuttle will drive you up the hill. We walked back down and I'm glad we did because we got to see Sentinel Rock. Lovely afternoon, take a picnic and spend some time up there soaking up God's majesty.

★★★★★ — Amy , Apr 2024

Well kept good walking trail bit of a climb if you have mobility issues. I would recommend checking website because weekends they do run a shuttle bus to the top. The view is beautiful, some picnic tables and grills available.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

🏞️ Scenic views 22 mentions

“It's not a hard climb, or the tallest mountain, it takes about 15 minutes to get to the top but the view is simple and relaxing.”
