Confirmed from Grant Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
35-acre park with sports fields, tennis & basketball courts, picnic sites, a playground & jog path.
What runners say about Grant Park
“Small scenic lake with lots of local wildlife and nice playground areas for children.”
Small park but has a nice playground area, cute lake to walk along, multiple sports fields, plenty of parking, and an ice skating rink.
I walked on the path that goes about half way around the lake. Nice new paved path. Lots of ducks and geese were hanging around. Too much goose poop on the path. Renovations in the park are going well. Sill work to be done.
They have a great big playground, and for all ages. You can walk around the water or shoot some hoops. Security and safety is not a problem. ( Police precint is right beside the park)
Many brand new playgrounds. It’s worthwhile to walk around the pond. It’s truly very nice.
