Confirmed from Granville Gorge's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Natural area popular for hiking and swimming.
What runners say about Granville Gorge
“And if you're going to bring them, clean up after them.”
“Absolutely beautiful but unfortunately it's full of broken glass.”
“Enjoyed the quiet here by the river and there is swimming areas that are deep.”
I love this place to death. One of the most beautiful and magical places in the area. It could be a little cleaner, but overall it's incredible. Go there for a swim, a short walk, a hike up the creek bed, just to relax or to fish.
Amazing hidden gem. Very serene and relaxing. We stayed in the small pools near the entrance which were perfect for our family with small children. Others mentioned if you walk further up the path there are deeper pools with cliff jumping. The water is very clean and refreshing.
We had a great time hiking a little ways up the trail to swim and jump in off a rock. The water was super refreshing. Parking is quite limited so have a backup plan.
Initial path is wider and easier to walk. The further in you go, the rockier and tougher it gets for walking along the water
