A Granby Land Trust property, well-maintained and well-marked. From the main put-in at 115 Donahue Road, I took a loop with the blue trail, the blue and yellow trail, then the blue trail once more. Trail crosses the brook on 2 occasions, but riverbed was dry due to August drought.
Today's visit was from the 115 Donahue Road entrance. There is side of the road parking for several cars. Across the street is an entrance to the Mary Edwards Mountain Property. The trail is narrow, with a few up and down climbs. A bridge crosses over the first stream.
I really enjoyed exploring this preserve. The loop options and stream‑side trails create a peaceful, varied hike that feels restorative from the very first steps.
Blue trail 1 mile loop or can add Orange trail for another 1 mile. Easy, shady, beautiful trail. Just be mindful of abundance of exposed tree roots and rocks.
