Most underrated spot in the park. The hike to the falls is 1.6 miles one way and is very easy. The falls are like a slide, and you can go out right on top of them. Only downside is that they are difficult to photograph. What I love most about Grassy Creek Falls is that there is little to no crowds here.
Easy, dog-friendly hiking with some beautiful waterfalls and scenery. Many of the trails are gravel and are mostly shaded, at least in the warmer months when there's foliage. Parking is limited, so I'd suggest getting there early.
For those that want to continue their hike a little further past Triple Falls and High Falls, Grassy Creek Falls is perfect! It was calm, serene, and much less busy than the falls mentioned above!
The trail up is shared fyi so bikers, horses, hikers, et al. (Our dog isn't bothered by bikes but we've yet to see his reaction to horses lol) We took lake imageing Rd down to green Creek falls trail. Moderate road leading to a very short easy hiking trail to a pretty but limited view of the falls.
