Confirmed from Greene River Trail: Rices Landing Trailhead's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Park with a biking and walking trail, river views, and picnic tables.
What runners say about Greene River Trail: Rices Landing Trailhead
“There is a fairly well maintained porta jon in the parking lot and they recently extended the southern portion of the trail.”
“I always enjoy riding bikes with friends and enjoy the scenic views the Greene River Trail has to offer!”
The Greene River Trail is a 7 mile long well- maintained trail for hiking and biking. It parallels the Monongahela River with beautiful views. The trail goes past former mining sites and Rice's Landing, where the historical WA Young Foundry is located.
A well maintained trail. Lovely scenery. And an overlook of the river valley. There are a few side trails to explore. My son and I have really enjoyed our hikes. There are a few picnic tables along the trail. Have seen a few people walking their dogs here.
This trail is very well done gravel trail along the river. Please be aware the trail head does start at the marina but because of the popularity of the trail they had to move the parking lot. If you follow Google maps take it to the bottom of Millsboro Road then follow the signs for the trail.
Markers every half mile , plenty of benches for breaks , informational stands along the way about what's around you , a bicycle repair station at the sign entrance, plenty of parking. I did 6 miles out to the cove and back on a light rainy day that came and went then stopped at Lavern's for lunch it was a good day.
