Confirmed from Greenville Falls State Scenic River Area's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Park with trails and a waterfall, plus historical features to explore on 92 acres.
What runners say about Greenville Falls State Scenic River Area
“Although there are signs posted stating no swimming, the falls are so beautiful.”
Such a beautiful area! A great place to hike. There is a lookout spot that has a couple of benches to just sit back and enjoy the sounds of the rushing water and the beautiful view of the waterfalls.
This is truly a hidden gem. My husband saw signs for this place so we decided to go after getting out of work in the morning. It is so peaceful and relaxing. Although there are signs posted stating no swimming, the falls are so beautiful. Be sure to go to both scenic overlooks on either side of the river.
Beautiful falls to view from the road or via either trailhead. The trailhead off Rangeline guides you through the historic remains of the Falls Electric Company. The other parking lot is a quick walk to an overlook atop the falls. Further on to the right (upstream) you can find the remains of the wooden dam.
If you are needing an accessible view of the Falls, this is the place to be. There is a small trail map on the side of the park board at the parking lot. Otherwise, the trail is not marked. When you go straight up the trail, you will see an area with a bench, off to the right, that is the overlook to the Falls.
