Confirmed from Grever's Nature Center's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

🐕 dog-walking favorite 3 mentions

We went on a beautiful spring day and found very nice trails. My merlin app registered ten kinds of birds within seconds. If you visit, slow down as you approach; there are no signs, so you will pass it before you see it at normal speeds. There is no map or trail markers. Find them on All Trails.

Conveniently situated half way between Marshall and Battle Creek, Grever's Nature Center is a lovely break from the hustle of your daily lives. With acres of trails to explore you can lose your troubles without getting too lost yourself😉.

Jan 18,2022 hiked a loop of about 1.6 miles. Parcel is lot bigger than I thought. Trails were icy and slippery. Some traffic noise from Verona road, but less noticeable as you walk further in. Nice area and woods for a day hike. I added a photo with property boundaries and most of the trail I hiked on.

Ticks are crazy here and they carry Lyme, my husband was just diagnosed with Lyme that he got from a tick that we picked up here. Other than that, beautiful place to hike with forest spots.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

The practical stuff

  • AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
  • DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
  • ShadeRunners describe real tree cover here — it makes a summer afternoon workable
  • DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
