We have not been able to confirm the surface, distance or shape of Grimes Canyon yet from its own listing, the park's website or runner reviews — so those cells stay blank rather than guess. What is below comes straight from the listing and from reviewers' own words. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Grimes Canyon
“This looks absolutely beautiful in the winter after rain.”
Yes! This is the right spot for this picture! We drove and managed to leave the car in one of the road shoulder. However, there’s not a lot of sports where you can leave the car. Did a small hike to the right location and set up tripods and waited for the cars.
This looks absolutely beautiful in the winter after rain. Rolling hills of green. My photo doesn't do it justice. Definitely worth a visit at the right time of the year. One direction is ugly because of the excavation
Trail conditions & character
